Who processes your data

I am Frederiek Pascal, Managing Partner at ClickForest, and I run this site. I work from Bonheiden, Belgium. For questions about your data, email frederiek@clickforest.com.

I am the controller for this site myself, as an individual.

Statistics with Google Analytics

On the home pages in Dutch, English and French I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited, for how long and where visitors come from. That helps me improve the site. This statement and the other pages (the Claude Token Tracker pages and the error page) measure nothing.

Before you choose

On your first visit you see a notice with Decline and Accept. Until you accept, nothing is sent to Google and nothing is measured.

If you accept

The site then loads Google Analytics and Google sets two cookies in your browser, which recognise returning visitors and link visits together (see the table below). Only storage for analytics is switched on. Advertising storage, advertising data and ad personalisation always stay off; I do not use Google Ads.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time through Cookie settings.

If you decline

Nothing is sent to Google and nothing is measured. If a Google cookie from an earlier choice is still there, I delete it.

Change or withdraw your choice

At the bottom of the home page you find the link Cookie settings. It brings the notice back, so you can change your choice at any time. Your choice is stored in your own browser (localStorage, key fp-consent) and not on a server of mine.

Google

Google receives and processes this data on my behalf. Google may also process it outside the European Union.

In Google Analytics the retention period is set to 2 months. Google’s data processing terms have been accepted.

Contact form

If you fill in the form, I ask for your name, email address and message. These go through Formspree (formspree.io), an external service that forwards forms, to my mailbox. I use them to answer you and for nothing else. Formspree is a US service and may process your data in the United States. You can also email me directly at frederiek@clickforest.com; that does not go through Formspree.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering a question you put to me yourself (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), also when you email me directly. You can object to that.

I keep your message for as long as the conversation lasts, and for 2 years at most afterwards. Formspree keeps a copy until I delete it.

Other external services

• Cloudflare: the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any host, Cloudflare sees technical data about your visit, such as your IP address.
• jsDelivr: on screens 768 pixels wide or more, the site loads two animation libraries (GSAP and Splitting) from cdn.jsdelivr.net. jsDelivr then sees your IP address. On a phone that does not happen.
• Fonts: the fonts are hosted on the site itself. No request goes to a font service for them.
• Links: the links to LinkedIn, ClickForest, newspapers and other sites are ordinary links. Only when you click does that site come into play, with its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask which data I hold about you, have it corrected or erased, object to a processing and take your data with you. Email me at frederiek@clickforest.com. If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Changes

If something changes in what the site does, I update this statement and the date at the top changes.
